This is midway between Memphis, Tennessee and Jackson, Mississippi and about halfway between Dallas and Atlanta. The airport is attended 24/7 and the ILS is monitored continuously by the Automated Flight Service Station located on the field.

Two full-service FBO's are located on the field and there is a military contract for Jet A. For quick turns and excellent service, GWO is the place to stop.
